if I drifted (both front & rear sights) in the same direction, (to get a better cheek weld) would the gun shoot true (windage) at any distance once sighted in? Let me know if I didnt give all the info. needed to answer the question. thanks a ton

if the weapon is already sighted in and you move both sights in the same direction, it would move the point of impact in the opposite direction. To demonstrate, get a piece of paper and draw 2 parallel lines 1 inch apart (the barrel, the bullet will always stay between these lines). In the center of these lines, mark 2 points approximately 6 inches apart (the sights). Now, imagine the effect of moving either sight. Another straight line drawn between the front and rear sight is where you will be looking, but the bullet will always stay between the lines drawn for the barrel.

If, however, you mean to move the sights, then sight in the weapon, then you will have to move one sight or the other to obtain your zero.

Yes, once sighted in it will shoot true.

would my point of aim and the actual point of impact be the same? or would that change with different distances? In other words is the only way to keep the p.o.a. theorectically exactly the same as the p.o.i. would be to have both sights centered on the bore. Or would the differences be so small out to 100 yards that I would never notice? thanks guys
