Anyone know if the front sight on a Stag 2HT (big triangle) can be removed? It is getting in the way of my optics and I would like it gone or a pop-up. Just not sure whats involved and I cant tell by looking at it.

It's held on by two pins that run horizontally through the bottom of it and the barrel. You have to knock those out to remove it.
Are you aware that your front sight is also the gas block for your rifle? The best option is going to be to have your front sight/gas block replaced with a railed gas block that you can attach a folding sight to. If you aren't familiar with how it's done or how your rifle works, I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself.sigpic
