AR-10 flat top 7.62X51 Scope Options

I am looking for a tactical scope that will work on my AR-10, 7.62X51 Carbine 16inch barrel.
I want to use it for LE training, target shooting and if need be hunting small pests (coyote, wild dogs, etc..)
I only plan on reaching out to 100 - 300 yards...
I was wanting to purchase the...
Vortex 1-4 x 24 Viper PST 30mm Rifle Scope
but I was told it may not work well on my rifle up to or past 300 yards so my second choices are the...
Leupold 2-7x33 VX-R 30mm Riflescope
also thinking about the

Why not an Eotech HWS?

With mine.....100-300 yds is no problem and you get quick target acquisition. Isn't that a little short for a 7.62x51 NATO?

My Purpose, training fire and Maneuvering, prone target up to 300yds..etc..
It's for a Carbine, I'm not shooting for maximum effective range which I know can reach out past 300yards it's more for tactical situation training. I also plan on mounting a Fastfire at a 45 degree angle for close up shots if needed, 50-yards.

Lucid w/2X Magnifier...you should be able to shoot out to 500yds. The Lucid should just slip right on you flat top rail and co-witness w/your iron sight.

I have an AR-10 w/16" Barrel and i run a Eotech 552.XR308 and it has a BDC out to 1200M. It works fine for me. You could always add a magnifier later if needed to.
