New Eotech packaging changing?

Are new Eotech's no longer being packaged in a clamshell case. I've been seeing some being sold online that are in a styrofoam case and printed cardboard box. It makes me skeptical because of clones sometimes being sold as the real deal. Any info?

I bought a brand new EOTech two months ago in the clamshell case. If they did change the packaging it must have been very recently.

I just got an EOTech a couple days ago straight from EOTech and it came in a clamshell case.

Here's an ad on another forum where the owner says he's had the unit for awhile. Check out the picture, the owner says it's the real deal and he's asking $300.

Every Eotech will come in a black plastic locking clam case. Beware of all the fackes and knock offs out there. There is also be a newer square barcode style sticker on the bottom and the serial number on the unit will match the sticker on the box. I take a lot of calls about people being ripped off on the reproduction EOTech sights. Chances are if its too good to be true, it is. The one pictured above is may not be original. Wrong box, manual, packaging. Check the forum for the other fake EOTech postings and call EOTech, they can talk you through the ways to point out a fake.

Eotechs use to come in a cardboard box and styrofoam case.Now they come in a clamshell box just as Aimpoints.
