Bought NF 5.5-22x 50 scope need help with rings

I bought the NF and bought the Larue Remington 700 Rail LT-113S (20MOA) and either thinking of getting the NF unimount which will add another 20MOA. With a total of 40 MOA, will that be too much? I was also debating between the Larue and ADM rings. What do you think would be a good set of rings?

    It's for remington 700 varmint (.308 cal)

40 moa is WAY too much. 20 moa is ample to get you out to 1000 yards with a 100 yard zero.

but does it hurt having 40 MOA? Does it make sighting in a problem?

With 40 MOA you will have a hard time with closer distances, 100-300 yards, you will be maxed out on the elevation or have to do a lot of turret turns to get it down that far. A 20 MOA Base with an NXS will give you enough max adjustment to go from 100 yards to over 1000, probably closer to 1200-1300 due to the incredibly high adjustment in a NXS.
