AIMPOINT 9000SC

I am looking for optics for an AR build i just got done with, i know the comp m2 is the way to go, but i was looking at the 9000sc and was wondering what everyones thoughts are for that optic on an AR platform. Any input would be great thanks.

Depends how much you have to spend. What is the purpose of your AR? Bench gun? run and gun? Home defense? etc.

Mainly just something to take to the range. And some home defense if necessary. I can afford a new 9000sc and rings.

I've got one. I bought it when they were on sale at Midway. I like it. I don't notice any drastic difference between mine and my buddies M2. A couple minor things about mine; 1 it's finished in hunting camo (one of these days I will paint it black), 2 it mounts using 2 rings, no biggie as it is the same diameter as the M2 so you can use other mounts I believe.

check out this comparison and you can see that its not too different from the M2 technically, and it's lighter and has a longer battery life.
