Laser or flashlight for H&K Expert.

I own an H&K Expert, and am contemplating putting either a laser or mounted tactical light on it. The H&K Expert is unusual in that the end of the groove rail is not open, and makes for massive incompatibilities. However, almost all the kits I've seen involve putting an a picatinny adaptor rail on first. I was told that Arma laser might be coming out with one, but I've yet to see it.

I think you're SOL on a light but could easily add a Crimson Trace laser. Honestly, the two go hand in hand but illumination would be my first choice.

you can use the hk light w/o an adapter or go for broke and buy a surefire x300 and adapter. like this.

There are a few options for you for adding a laser or light. First, you will need to add a rail adapter. Pro Mag actually makes a nice rail adpater for a good price:

This adapter will fit on your Expert and will allow you to mount most laser/light combos. Streamlight TLR lights, Insight M6x or M3, Viridian X5l. That should do the trick for you!

I'm in full agreement with darkjedi. The Surefire adapter (as seen in his picture) is the best adapter out there. However, USPs in general have very long trigger guards so activating the rocker switch with the index finger is darn near impossible. The surefire adapter mounts the light the highest, and closest to the triggerguard than the others, but it is still just too far out of reach. I say this as someone who has long "piano fingers."
