Did I make the right bipod choice?

Well I was originally going to order a GG&G heavy duty bipod for my Remington 700 build, but with all this talk I hear about the Atlas v8 being the bee's knees I ordered what had to be the last one in stock on this planet.

I just got mine (V8) in the mail today. I'm really happy with it. Nice bit of kit! I feel like I'm supporting an American small business too. I had to call around to find mine. Couldn't locate one with a lever, but I don't know that I'll ever remove it from the LR308.

The V8 is nice for bench work but slow to deploy. I have one. The harris is much faster for any real field work. Also the wait for an atlas is 18 weeks now. You can have mine for 500.

That's okay, I ordered one on Sunday and it showed up in my mailbox yesterday

The v8 is a damned good bipod, just takes some time getting used to it. the only thing I dont like about it, is I wish you could lock it from panning.
