    colt optics red dot

does anyone know anything about this red dot? It's marked colt optics and came in a blue box. I've had it around 10 years and I got in a box of AR stuff from my friends dad right before the AWB. Any info about quality, value or problems will be appreciated.

Sure looks a lot like the C-more Tactical Reflex Sight.

It could be either an original C-More or its a Fake out of China.

Call C-more they will be able to tell you. I wouldn't use it on an AR15. The original ones cracked easy. The latest plastic ones are good, but not great. The aluminum ones are the best.

You can buy an aluminum slideride for $200 and swap them out. All C-mores are made the same so a plastic on will mount the same as a metal one.

the internal parts are not swappable between plastic and metal though.

the AS clones are hard to spot, but when there are things to look for, like type of bolts, delron spacer under the optic, Mil-spec carry handle mount, seams, serial numbers...

      FAKE

      REAL

there are airsoft seller that also sell the real thing. The problem is they use "stock" pictures of the item so you can not tell from the picture if the item is real. then when you receive the item, they tell you no returns, you are scamming them when you say you received a fake optic. Sellers like this I don't trust.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but it looks like it's the real deal from the machined pattern under the lens and the bolt pattern on top...

The only thing that caught me off guard was the lack of mil-spec markings on the chopped carry handle. Every Colt C-More I remember was mounted to a Colt roll marked carry handle. The lack of a roll mark worries me. I do see the delron spacer under it. I would need to hold it and really look at it to be sure.
