First time was weird, zero changed when you dialed the magnification. They repaired it, took maybe 3 weeks. Now it's not holding zero but I can't pin it down. Groups seem to wander around. Haven't sent it in yet but I will soon - I have no doubt that they'll fix it either.

If you want what it offers then go for it, just like I said consider other stuff like the weaver 3-10 (300$) super sniper 10X (300$). If you do get the Mark AR make sure it's a mildot, the duplex one seems to be less desirable.

Personally I would keep saving your pennies until you can get something like the vortex pst 1-4/2.5-10 or maybe a super sniper 3-9 FFP.

One of the best optics for the price IMO.

I had mine for a while before I traded it. I no longer had a long range AR so I sold the scope. I regret it till this day. The glass is SUPER clear and bright and the turrets have great feel and clicks. I much prefer the feel and clicks over my more expensive optics (Nightforce). The build quality is great for the price. I don't use the BDC turrets at all because I don't shoot 55grn bullets at 3100fps. I generally load 75grn bullets.

I got the Mil dot version...if I were to do it again, I would go with the duplex. It's not worth the extra dough. Sure you can range with it but the knobs are not in mils, you will have to do extra calculations to hold over.

My ONLY gripe is that it does not have parralax adjustments.

I will definatley buy another one.

I really like the Mark ARs. I use a 4-12x40mm and really like it for the price.

Great Scope for the money! It is similar to a Mark 2 $500 scope.

I have a Leupold Mark AR 4-12x40 with the fine crosshair reticle. I had an 18" competition style 3 gun AR and it worked perfect out past 200. I could see things better with my Mark AR than my spotting scope even with that low magnification. If I could do it again, I would get a higher powered scope because I did more target than anything else, but depending on your needs, you could go either route.

Here are a couple of pics in an American Defense mount on top of my 18" SS JP-15 upper.

I would do it again in a heartbeat and would recommend ADM mounts, GG&G Accucam mounts, Larue (of course) and a few others depending on what you want.

                  Good luck with your choice.

I've been using the 3-9x40 mildot since last September or thereabouts and would only be happier if I had chosen a higher magnification. I didn't realize it would end-up on top of a target style rifle, and while it performs great, like I said, I just wish it had a little more power now that it's on a different gun.

While I dont own a MK AR, I have heard nothing but good things about them. Good glass for a good price. Hear is another place to check your prices. >> http://www.opticsplanet.com/

OK. Just ordered my Leupold Mark AR scope. Mil-dot. Should be here some time next week. Now for the 1" mount and rings. I have a CMMg 18" flat top with a "F" front sight. Yankee Hill flip up rear sight. ADM mounts, GG&G Accucam mounts, Larue ... Affordable?

Affordable depends on your budget. I will say that a good scope mount will be worth every penny in the end. I used to have a hard time putting $150+ into something like a scope mount, but once I finally bit the bullet and bought a LaRue mount, I realized what I was missing.
