For anyone interested in trying these chinese imitations: Here is a link to a company that sells the New Eotech clone and the ACOG clones also. I personally like to buy the real thing but sometimes my budget ain't as big as i would like. These might be nice to play with untill you can get the real thing:

The G&P ACOG clone is actually decent, I've heard of cases of people using it on their guns. For anyone interested in trying these chinese imitations: Here is a link to a company that sells the New Eotech clone and the ACOG clones also. Not quite. It doesn't use the same technology for the optics. I actually posted a long explanation on this but it got deleted into the ether by accident...
The typical red-dot uses a dichroic mirror to reflect the red spot -- a fancy way of saying a filter (that's why it looks colored) that reflects only the red light. The Eotech uses a holographic plate which makes the incident light change its location and shape to the one you see. They're significantly different in how they work.

A friend of mine had an ACOG clone on his airsoft gun; the color seemed a bit off (it was gray instead of black like a real Trijicon) but looking at the reticle it looked just like the TA01NSN's during daylight. The only difference was it didn't turn yellow when I aimed in low-light condition.
That being said, even though the ACOG clone looked pretty real, I'll stick with my TA31F

Not really... he's talking about optics. It's equally as legitimate to put it here as there. It's not like he's affiliated with them, that I'm aware of.
Are you going to go say this about every, "Check out the low price of XXX ammo at XXX?" Or say that in the thread about the $179 10/22's?

Teletiger,
Please don't pimp out for patent/trade dress violators. Besides, they're junk.
These scopes are likely here illegally: even if their internals are different, their 'trade dress' is stolen....
I was at the SHOT Show 2 yrs ago when Trijicon and its lawyers were handing NcStar its *** for their ACOG 'clones'.
