    Aimpoint ML2

Just picked up a used Aimpoint ML 2, There are 9 brightness adjustments available for this sight and it took me adjustment 6 to use the red dot in bright sunlight. I also installed a new 3 volt Energizer battery.
Is this normal for an Aimpoint ML2?

    Thx John

COMP M2 has low brightness settings

You have to remember that the COMP M2, M3, and M4 are all made originally for the US military, and other militaries for that matter (its made in Sweden) . The lowest settings that you really cannot use are for use with light intensification scope like the PVS-14 (with rail adaptor) and other types of NVDs.

Bright sunlight is as bright as it's gonna get, and you still have three higher settings so what are you worried about?

The ML2 has a battery life of 10,000 hours on setting 7, so you can leave it on continuously for a year before you have to change the battery.
