Last night I mounted the Vortex Sparc on my AR using a American Defense QD mount that was supposed to set the Sparc right at 1/3 cowitness. Well, it doesn't. The BUISs are blocked by the bottom of the optic. Are there any QD mounts that will position this thing at proper 1/3 cowitness or is it an exercise in futility with these lesser expensive optics?
I was also going to purchase the AD flip to side mount for the Vortex 3x magnifier but have delayed that. I'm not sure the 3x will even mount over the top of the rear Matech BUIS...that sight is a little taller than most other rear BUIS. Any suggestions on this one? It seems to me that both the main optic mount and magnifier mount should have the same rise height, so you need to find a company that makes one that will work with this setup?
