What are the practical differences between a Red Dot, Reflex, and Holosight? BESIDES the reticle style, what are the usage differences? Aren't they each effectively the same, just that they project reticles using different methods?

RDS pretty much a base level optic. Holosight has advantage of adjusting to angle of incidence to your eye, so perfect cheekweld isn't necessary. Reflex sights are compact but tend to wash out in bright day light.
