Looks like a long action Rem 700 to me. Decide what mount you want first (One piece, two piece, built in MOA or flat) thenchoose the rings that will mount the scope as low as possiable.

yea its a Rem700. I already got the UTG 1inch rings, kind of bulky but what would the benefits of a 1 piece, 2 piece vs. flat.
Also where is the best place to look at these options and pricing?
      thanks

what caliber?. stay away from see thrue rings that sit high mount them as low as the front bell of the scope will allow ,tally rings are great for hunting rifle setup. pay once cry once

I'm guessing this is just a hunting rifle? You can go with something like this base and rings: http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-...iece-base.html and http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-std-rings.html

For a bit more stiffer mounting system, you can go with a one piece base like http://www.opticsplanet.net/egw-remi...ope-mount.html and rings such as http://www.opticsplanet.net/burris-x...two-rings.html

0 vs 20 MOA base: for a hunting rifle that you zero at lets say 200 yards and leave it there, the 0 is fine. if youplan on doing long range shooting, get the 20 as it will give you more distance before running out of scope elevation.
