Nightforce or Leupold for SPR?

This scope will be for my SPR. Right now I have a cheap Bushnell on it for the mean time. I'm torn between the two. I know I will be happy with either or. But I want to hear from those that have any kind of experience with these two scopes.

Also, if there is another scope I should look into, I'm up for that also.
My price range is around $1500. Shooting distance is from 6-800 yards.

Vortex PST's are coming out soon too. Might be worth looking into. Save some cash for ammo.

I really like my nightforce scopes. I also like leupold but would take nightforce if I had the money.

That Leupold 3.5-10x40 LR M3 scope would be 'correct' for a SPR.

I guess it depends on how accurately you're trying to reproduce the build.

Leupold with M2 or M3 BDC dial, Nightforce 2.5-10, IOR 2.5-10, IOR 1-4, Nightforce 1-4, USO 1-4, lots and lots of choices out there.

If you want to save some money the bushnell 3-12 FFP isn't bad and they are on sale all over the place for 600 bucks.

Both are great scopes. I am huge Leupold fan. A lot of Nightforce users are bit snobby about it, bashing Leupold. I've used both and find them on par with each other.

If you can afford it, get an IR model.

Buy once cry once......NF Its really depends on what you want to budget for your build but due to your mission requirements, I would say go with the Leupold.

Every single scope suggested could theoretically do that. Could probably do that with an ACOG or iron sights if your eyes are good enough.

If you really don't know what to buy then stick to stuff with ~10X max mag and then just start looking at all the different features each scope maker has. Look at the knobs, the reticles, FFP vs SFP, that sort of thing.

There is a guy on Sniper's Hide who uses the 3-9 super sniper scopes on his M1A and LMT MWS for exactly that sort of shooting and he is very happy with them.

Leupold are nice scopes. The Nigthforce SFP scopes are one of the best on the market if not the best SFP scopes out there.

After using both Leupold and NF, I perfer the Leupold.

I can't believe this is even a question...NF if you want a scope that works, tracks, holds zero, etc. Leupold if you don't.
