Spotting scope or high power rifle scope

I used Barska Blackhawk 24-60x60. Two complains so far
1) not as clear as I would expected. Maybe the lens issue, maybe the focus knob issue.
2) the eye relief is horrible, it's a PITA to see with eye protection on.

I researched other pricier spotting scopes from Leupold, the $300 range ones have similar eye relief ~17mm. Mark 4 has 30mm eye relief, but that's a $1400 item.

My question are
1) What's the most affordable spotting scope that has decent eye relief?
2) Is it viable to save the spotting scope money on high power rifle scope? Those scopes have long eye relief and much clearer. The downside is they are not as high power as spotting scope.

Not trying to insult you but when you buy junk you cannot expect quality. I know as I bought a trashco spotting scope and was given a bushnell. If you want a quality scope you will have to spend the money and $1400 is usually a starting point. I know if I need to check my targets I do better with the scopes on one of my 50bmg's which is a Nightforce 5.5X22X56 over either of my spotting scopes. Think Kowa for one of the better and not super expensive spotting scopes but they are not cheap either. With optics you usually get what you pay for.

Since you have a crappy scope, don't bother spending money on a spotting scope at this point. Get a quality riflescope instead. If you want a durable scope with bright glass and great resolution, check out the Sightron SIII 6-24x50. You can find them for around $700.

What do you want such high magnification for?
