    Burris AR 332

I seen an old thread on here about this optic...a bunch of people had them on order but never chimed in their experiences after shooting with it when they actually recieved it...

Few questions for you AR 332 owners

How quickly can you acquire targets in the 15-50 yard range..?

How effective is the busy reticle in the 2-300 yard range..?

It has a bullet drop compensation for shots out to 500 yards which seems pretty pointless..ive never looked thru one in person but i seen a few on youtube and the reticle looks too small and too busy for the BDC to be effective..

    Chime in please..!!!

    Thanks.!

I did this about a year ago...

I will try to answer your questions as I remember, but it was a year ago.

Up close and far away the optic worked well. I had no problems at 25yds. Out to 500yds depends on what type of ammo you are using to match the calibration of the recital. The BDC worked well also, it got me close at 500yds, but it is still up to the shooter to do their part.

I did not like the recital then, but now as I have played with more optics (older and wiser maybe, or just that I like to try different stuff) I would be willing to give it another try.

I'm on the fence on this one as well. Can anyone answer where this is made? Source of the optical components?

I think I read that they are made in the philippines.

I have a Burris 3.5x10x40 it's about 8 years old I would guess. It's on my browning a bolt 7 wsm. I love that scope, I think Burris was still made in USA back then.

Most of Burris's "bread and butter" scopes are still made in the USA. Some/many of their new "price point" scopes are made off shore.

              My XTR was made here.

My new spotting scope was made in Korea (which was a disappointing as I thought it would be made here).

I'm looking at this for my A4 clone in place of an Acog as well. Looking forward to some insight into it.
I know it's not an Acog, but I don't expect it to be perfect for 1/3 of the price.

The 332 and EoTechs are two totally different optics.

i just shot my AR at the range yesterday for the first time..i had a Bushnell Hoo sight my buddy let me borrow..it has a 1 moa dot and a circle around the dot...
at 50 yards the dot covered up a good amount of my target
at 100 yards it covered up most of a 8" shoot n see

Even though the burris ar332 is 3x zoom im almost convinced the recticle is way to damn busy to be practicle....ill just have to look through one in person i guess..

Listen to what you are saying. If the "1 moa" dot is covering up 8" at 100 yards, then that "1 moa" really is not. or your eyes are horrible. a real eotech has a real 1 moa dot (covers 1 inch @ 100 yards)
