I was pretty excited, though I have no clue if I got a real bargain. I knew how much the CompM2's cost, but I knew nothing of CompM XD's.
I picked one up at a garage with a QRP on a forward carry handle mount. He wanted $150 but I talked him down to $120. Even price in $20's always makes for a good argument at garage sales!
It looks like everything seen here, except the wire keepers instead of the rubber thing.
I had a CompM2 for a while and switched to Eotechs, which I definitely prefer, but I decided I wanted something more... I don't know, "scopey" back on my M1A SOCOM. Now I have even more extra mounts and toys to play with
Anyone with knowledge of these old Aimpoints? I did some searches on what changed when they switched to M2's and it seems like they improved battery life, offered 2 options in dot size (2MOA or 4MOA vs old 3MOA), added a couple brightness settings, along with the option of a 2X magnifier. Anything else changed?
