Marlin 336SS Lever Action .30-30

I have been thinking more and more about scoping my Marlin 336SS Lever Action .30-30. I think it would make an all around darn good hunting rifle for most situations. I must admit I am not a big hunter, but while the thought of a 300-400 yard shot sounds cool.....the thought of tracking it down and hualing it back doesn't excite me at all. I would like to match color but I will put a black scope on it if need be. So the question is..........What power scope should I be looking at? With some of the ammo out I am pretty sure I will be good out to a couple hundered yards or so.

I would look at somehitng in the 1-4 or 2-7X range.
