Review: Acrylic paint alternative to tritium

This stuff I bought from local Michael's crafts and hobbies. Its utter crap. 0.5/5 points. even after the entire bottle is light charged, the glowing effect in pitch black, while noticible, lasts <2-3 minutes tops and is so dim as to not register on my phone camera.

This is what my phone camera picked up...

Basically all its good for is if you want to paint your sights a very weak white-ish color (daylight).
Now there is something else availible for sale. I dont have a link but it is a non tritium glowing paint. And unlike the crap above, it says keep away from children, which I take to be a good sign.

you need radioactivity as an energysource to make light

passive charging phosphor is lame great for toys and under black light but

if you pull it out of your holster its not going to be glowing

unfortunatly they dont use radium paint it lasts with decent glow about 50 years judging by the errie glow of my grandfathers old alarm clock hands

why cant they encapsulate some of that stuff in a sight vial
