    Mount questions

So I am getting a rem700, and on it I can not decide which mount is best?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of the rail vs the two piece mounts?
And which manufacturer would you recommend?

With a two piece mount you get more space to load and eject rounds since there is nothing between your ejection port and your scope, the trade off is far less mounting spaces (assuming you're going with some type of weaver rail). A one piece mount also offers an easier way to tell if your mount or receiver tolerances are off, as you can torque down one end and check for gaps on the other and bed if necessary.

For manufactuers the sky is the limit. It all depends on how much you want to spend for peace of mind.

EGW - Cheapest well made aluminum rails you can buy. Comes in Low and high flavors with your choice of 0/10/20 MOA IIRC
Seekins Precision - Glen Seekins makes amazingly precise products but they come with a higher price tag
Badger - Steel bases, I've never used them but are notorious for their precision, quality and high price
