Anyone else like/dislike the trijicon triangle reticle

I have a green triangular reticle on a accupoint 3-9x. It's fun to shoot on my AR but just wondering what other people thought about it.

I guess no one uses a triangle reticle from trijicon.

I have the TR24G (green triangle) 1-4X on my 3-gun upper and believe it's one of the best general purpose scopes out there. Having said that, it's not a great precision optic due to the shape and size of the reticule. I run two zeroes - 200Y and 300Y - depending on what targets need to be hit. The TR24G has an excellent zero stop to enable this.

What's the intended use of your optic? If it's to shoot tiny groups or bench rest, I'd look at the Mil-Dot reticule in that model.

Just got a Simmons Whitetail Classic with the mil-dot reticle. I now see why people like mil-dots. They're very practical, and the mil-dot pretty much stays out of your way when you're getting a bead on your target.

I've had it for a year. I only got it because it was a killer deal with a larue mount (less than 500).

I mean, I took it out last week and got it zero'd at 50 yards. It's great for just punching holes and I had no means for it to be a precision reticle. I just wanted to see what other people thought or used it as.

The glass is super clear too.

I have a TR-24G with the green triangle as well (picked up from Liberty Optics). I'm very satisfied with it and think its a great scope.

The triangle is not quite as precise as a cross-hair/mil-dot, but makes up for lacking in precision with speed of acquisition. As always, it depends on what you want to do with it. At 1x the triangle can perform similar to a red dot sight but with the benefit of magnification when you want it.

With a 3-9x I can see the desire for a more precise reticule though.

I hava two Accupoints with red triangles, the green gets lost on green backgrounds for me. TR21 & TR24 both are very nice, I bought them for quick target aqusition not long range. One is on a SCAR 16s the other on a Noveske. The scope is light, bright, and easy to use. They are some of my favorite scopes. Never need to worry about batteries.

sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

I have 3 of them, all for 3Gun competition. We normally shoot out to 400 yards. They have killer eye relief and are fast to pickup. Depends on what you want to use your rifle for. I run zero at 35 and 300 yards.
