Simplicity of reticle ranging is the main advantage of FFP. With SFP you need to pick one magnification level for reticle ranging and stick with it. One of the advantages of SFP is when you're shooting at full magnification you have the same fine reticle scale. This is predominantly useful in long range shooting as few reticles are fine enough not to obscure a target at more extreme ranges at full magnification.--BrandoComment
