Simmons Whitetail Classic--anyone have any experience?

MidwayUSA routinely sells the 6.5x20 power, 50mm Simmons Whitetail Classic at quite a discount, and I'm thinking of scope-mounting a Mosin-Nagant. Does anybody here have any experience with these scopes on higher-powered rifles like this? Are they any good, and if so, for how long?

    Thanks!

I've put 40 rds. Of 7mm mag on this scope exactly I bought it from mlatino. I'm sure he used it a bit. Plus I had this on my 24" bull barrel SPR AR and no problems. I took the rifle out on opening weekend didn't see any bucks. I thought I would crack off a few rounds too see if it was still sighted (from the previous year) sure nuff... Spot on @100 yds. 2shots touching eachother

I'll tell you what... You can use/try mine... If you want to keep it, $100. If not give it back. I'm looking to upgrade my scope.... That's why I'm in this sub forum.

Only complaint is the thickness of the reticle.

Just put one on order a couple days ago. With Simmons' 25% discount, this scope is going to cost me about $85 including shipping. Will let you know how things go.
