Can anyone tell me about swfa ss scopes?

I am putting together an AR vermint rifle, and I am having a hard time deciding on a scope in the $300-$400 range. Well performance is most important to me looks are as well. I really like the looks of the swfa scopes, but know nothing about them. Are they made in the US? Any intel would be helpful thanks guys.

a varmint rifle? The 10x42m Super Sniper scope is a great scope for around 400 bucks and would work well though many varmint hunters, such as myself, like high powered zoom options. I run this scope in 6-24x56mm w/ a mil dot reticle on my varmint AR. Works great

Hawke is a global leader in high-quality, great-value sporting optics, including rifle scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, and more.

Also in that price range are some great Bushnell and Millett scopes I would recommend. Research it and check out what will best suit you. Don't make a calguns thread that research either, though there is a lot of help here

If you don't mind a big heavy bulky scope a SS is a good thing they are comparable with the Nikon Monarchs and Bushnell 4200 as for as glass goes and the adjustments are usually consistent and crisp so they track well tho a few bad ones get out now and then. if you get one get a 3x9 it will offer for more range of shooting possibilities at a lower power it's easier to get on closer targets.

I had the 10X42 and have a 20X42 SS...Great scopes for their price, compare easily to some costing much more. Their newer 3x9 scopes are higher-priced than their fixed-mag ones though I feel the glass is a tad better, just MHO.

They're built like a tank, 150moa elevation adjustment available (gets my .223 to 1K with lots of adjustment left over, no 20moa base needed) Turrets are solid and track true. Lifetime warranty, no B.S. If you're buying new from SWFA, no worries, they haven't had problems with QC for several years now.

As Toby mentioned, the Nikon Monarch is a good line for that price-point also. Nikon glass is very bright. (but have a relatively small elevation adjustability)

They are very good scope in the that price range. But also consider the Bushnell 4200 Elite Tactical. They look pretty good, and very well made for about the same price.

Just sold mine for the weight reasons discussed above. My 308 is already heavy and I wanted to lighten it up.

they are a great match for an AR15, 30mm tube, decent optics 100+ minutes elevation, mil dots 1/4 minute clicks, OK on the box test, good to ~400 yards
