    NC Star Scopes

    Does anyone know anything about this company? Anything that I should know about the quality of their equipment? Or anything else in general about NC Star?

    Personally, I think they're garbage. I got one for free from a friend. I heard a lot of talk on the Parallax C&R Boards about how they're a good deal for the money.

    The one I put on a scout scope mount K31 couldn't hold a zero. I ended up going back to iron sights on that rifle.

      Like Ocabj I head good things about these for those people looking for a cheap scope. I mounted one on an M44 with a Darryl's Mount and wish I'd found something else.

      I'm certainly no expert on cheap scopes, but these are cheaper than cheap. Even my Leapers Accushot is much better than these!

        NcStar, Leapers, ATN, they're crap. Don't waste your money. Buy something better.

        And yes, Leapers is a step above NcStar, but that doesn't say much. ATN is expensive, but it's still crap. BSA is 50/50... a few of the models are nice, a few of them are garbage.

        Better to buy a Simmons, Tasco or Bushnell in the same price range.

          I have a NC star spotting scope, and its useless past 100 yards imo, and my eyesight is still 20/20. Can't say much about riflescopes. If you're looking for a cheap $30 spotting scope for 100yard use, NcStar is the way to go.

            Agree, their rifle optics SUCK for anything over 100yd and any recoil larger than .22

            however their non shooting optics are ok for the money, I bought their metal tripod spotting scope stand, heavy, durable and works great!!!

            For a spotter, I would spend $100 more and get the 50x bushnell at midway or SWFA, it will last your lifetime and its got great range. Should you decide to upgrade or shoot farther out, you will already have a scope that can handle it. For me its great to 300yds, after that, some focus gets a little harder to see.

              Ncstar is crap. I don't even consider it a airsoft optics because I had a 50 dollar one on my KJW m700 and it started leaking fluids.... I guess red gas is too much for it.

                Just in case you didnt hear the first time...They are junk and dont waste your $$ on them, if you want a cheaper scope look at bushnell elites or a super sniper for around 2-300.

                    I got a $30 for my pellet gun and it was junk... even for a pellet gun it was junk, no eye relief whatsover.. and it was dark! my $30 daisy scope is so much better

                      I won't even mount it to my airsoft stuff, a plastic BB hit might destroy it! I would at least go BSA.

                        I had one on my FAL - shot maybe 50 rounds through it - then mounted it on my .223 rifle - after a few rounds - the elevation screw quit working. I think the FAL recoil (which isn't that strong, to begin with) hosed the scope.

                        Would not buy another.

                          my Star scope has been on my Yugo m-49 for 180 rounds, holds firm, 8mm bolt guns have some recoil, did'nt effect this pistol scope, had a BSA scope go out of focus on my 30-06, it was 6 years old, had been on another mauser 8mm and my 308, sent it back to BSA got a brand new one in the mail, hey unless i'm going to war, BSA will work

                            I had one on my SKS M56/66... tossed it.... it was "okay".....but I went iron sights.... like someone stated....unless you tap and drill, the accuracy won't be much on an SKS if using the "swappable" rear cover scope mounts....

                              Got a star on my project gun....

                              I mounted a 6X24X50 on my 6.5 X 55. Took it to the range and it shot the center out of the target at 200 yds. I broke the first one and sent it back. They sent me a new one free. So I mounted it on the project gun. I know there cheap. If this one breaks I'll send it back and get a new one.
