    AR Optics

Does anybody have a suggestion for an ACOG style optic that is not airsoft. Obviously 1K is a lot to pay for the real thing - could definitely do with a cheaper alternative...

Check out Jeffu's knockoff, I have one and so far it has been great. Built strong, great replica, clear glass, holds zero on my AR, and the best thing is the price. Use it until you can save up for the real thing.

+1 on Jeffu's stuff. I don't have any of his stuff but have heard good things.

for the $200 you will spend on a replica acog you can get some nice quality scopes.

            bushnell 3200, nikon,weaver v3,leupold ar,burris ff2.

              ^^^ I agree.

I've been using a $100 Barska AC10770 1.5 - 4.5 that everyone seems to be impressed with. Honestly, I hear even parts good and bad about Barska. I don't know if it's because they're a budget scope or what, but this does NOT seem to be one of their bad offerings. I will definitely try more of their products.

brands,brands,brands...None of us are ever going to war with our weapons! We all don't need to have Louis Vuitton for our guns(I had to look at my wife organizer to spell that). We need to look at our budget and then decide what optic to purchase.

What you're going to be using the rifle for, is going to play a big role in what optic would be best.

If you're looking for an ACOG style, but without the price, I have also heard good things about Jeffu's clones. But like others have said, a scope on some mounts will probably be "better."

Im thinking about getting a scope on my AR and I am stuck between a Weaver Classic V 1-3x20 or the Millet DMS 1-4x24 scope on the Burris PEPR mount.

                    jaytee,

Try looking into Bushnell or Barska. They both have ACOG style red dots that appears to be reasonable n price.
