I recommend the Accupoint TR-24 (1-4X24) as well. Pricey - plan to spend $780 for the scope and another $200 for the QR mount (I bought the Trijicon one). but the X4 mag is great for 50 and 100 yards compared to my X1 Eotech.

Yesterday at the range, mounted on my DDM4 I casually shot a 2 inch groupings of 60 rounds at 50 yards. Out of 60 rounds, only one was out of the 2 inch circle.

You may be able to beat Midway on Trijicon stuff at www.manventureoutpost.com You will likely have to email for a price, but I saved about $3-400ish off list on my ACOG through them.

Does it have the same issue as the Acogs where the right side reticle goes blurry?

i'm going to put in my 2 cents here as i have bought them all..or close to it..(check with scott at liberty optics..ive bought more than a few from him)
first i went with the millet, it was a fair scope at a fair price, but i knew there were better out there..then i got the accupoint tr24 with the amber triangle..(i like the amber)
i thought i was happy but after reading how the post will obscure your sight picture for holdovers past 200 yds, and the triangle reticle is not good for precision shots i was convinced i would need a german #4..i sold the amber triangle, got the green #4 and figured i was good to go. then i started reading about the magical horseshoe reticle and figured one of those with bdc lines is what i really needed, but i like short scopes too so i bought a pitbull...great glass, cool concept, but then got to reading again and sold that because what i really needed was more magnification (or so thats what the consensus is at most forums...1-6x,1-8x,1.5-8x,2-10x, in a small package)
so i sold the pitbull and got the ior valdada 1.5-8x..bought the new 35mm ADM mount, went to the range and was happy...for a time...damn thing is big..as in heavy..and there was this thought gnawing at the back of my brain while i lay in bed,,i used to have aimpoints and eotechs ..until my eyes got a bit old and needed the ol' fast focus ring..what i liked best about them was the bright reticle and uncluttered view...uncluttered view being the most important at this time...soooo, sold the ior and figured i'd buy the one most people talk about as awesome..the nightforce nxs 1-4x with the very cool fc2 reticle, then i read about Kenton industries..they would custom build me a bdc turret that would replace the nightforce one for about $100.00...To cool..i was set..until i got to the range..unlike other scopes that have a fast focus..the nightforce has a extremely slow focus knob...i swear i was turning it for days..i could get it just right and then turn it 3 more times in any direction with no visible difference..at least to me..and the glass, again to me..isn't any better than burris or like another highly touted company..us optics..i had the fixed 4x sn12...was not impressed,,(but was told their fixed power scopes are not as good as their variable power ones),,all i know is i'm not investing anymore money in uber expensive scopes...so i sold the nightforce and was laying in bed one night thinking..dude, out of all the scopes you've owned which did you like best? the answer?...tr24....best glass, uncluttered reticle (triangle post)bright aiming point, light weight, so my buddy sold me a slightly used one in a ADM mount with the red triangle at a very good price...my range goes to 200 yards and if i do the 50yd zero then i'm on at 200 anything farther than that is when i'm in the forest messing around and truth be told i usually dont shoot over 200yds anyhoe...so i ended up with what i started with...but the road i took to get their was very educational

The TR24 is an excellent optic.

Its only real weakness is its reticle. And since the is no way of knowing how far you'll want to, or need to engage a target, having some kind of ranging reticle is almost always the better option.

I wonder if it's that hard to put the ACOG illuminated chevron with bdc post reticle in a TR24????

An AccuPoint with an ACOG chevron would be absolutely beast but Trijicon has said many times that they can't do it without completely redesigning the scope.
