    LMT missing part?

Does anyone know where I can get the piece i'm missing on my sight? It's the piece that slides onto the bolt and sandwiches the mount to the upper rail.

I don't know what you're talking about. Got any pics?

If you're describing what I think you are, then that shouldn't happen. LMT properly stakes the thumb screws so you can't remove them.

Where did you get it? Like I said LMT properly stakes those thumb screws. There should be a X on the end of that screw.

Somebody must have gone to town on it by the looks of the last photo.

Who the **** sold it like that to you? Out the bastard.

I kind of have to agree with LMT on this one. Somebody clearly made aftermarket modifications to it. You're best bet is to get a refund from the guy who sold it like that.

            Good luck.

Ask one of the DIY machinists on here to make the part for you. You can find them in the GUNSMITHING section.

no I don't want to out the guy cause this was a throw in on an upper I bought from him.He is a great calgunner.I could make one if I had a mill.Is this a good enough reason to buy a lathe and a mill combo machine?

Just get someone to make it for you or you could get a carry handle and use the parts off that and cut it down a bit.
