    Swaying Scope stand - Suggestions

    Good day.

Let me start buy saying i have had this setup for over a year not but have not used it a whole lot.

Recently i have wanted to start using it more and the sway is becoming annoying.
Any little tap make it move alot.

    Spotting scope: KONUSPOT-80 20-60x80

    Tripod stand: Freeland Tripod Stand
Tripod accessories: Scope Stand Weight, Zoom Head Assembly, Extension rod, Carry ball.

Would a different head assembly like a sattle make a difference?
Also i noticed on http://www.championshooters.com/Stands-ssl.htm site they have something called Freeland Rod Stabilizer does this help at all?

This has really made me second guess buying this stand i feel maybe i should a stand that had a 1" tube rather then the 5/8" i bought.

    Thanks in advanced.

They sell their scope stand weight and it would help to dampen effects of wind and such on the stand. Any weight you can add toward the base of the unit would work. You just need to see what you can fit to the base to weigh it down.

Yes i do have a weight at the bottom of it but it still seems to sway a bit.
hence why i feel maybe i should of went with a 1" rod
