    WHICH SCOPE MOUNT?

I use both scope and irons whenever I shoot my AR. But it's been like a routine zeroing everytime. Go to 50 yards check scope zero, shoot a few rounds, then take off scope and shoot irons. Then I move to the 100 yard lane, shoot irons then mount the scope again and continue shooting.

I know that the scope zero is somewhat lost everytime its removed. So I thought what if I just get an angled mount for the scope and keep the BUIS up so I can just keep on shooting using either one.

The other option is to use the flip to side mount like those used on magnifiers, though I'm not sure if this mount is stable/sturdy enough to keep a compact scope zeroed.

    Has anyone tried doing this?

Some scope mounts are see through. The see-thru scope mounts for the old style A1/A2 handles are very common and should be easy to find. I cannot remember if I have seen a see-thru mounts for rail systems.

How far off is your scope each time? You might want to try a better mount that returns to zero.
