    Loose scope mount

    Hey guys,

I've got a American Defense Recon-S Quick-Release Scope Mount Picatinny-Style with 1" Rings. When I try and attach it to the rails there is a little wiggle room still. I found that if I put a piece of tinfoil folded so there are 6 sheets that it acts like a filler enough to get the mount tight.

Is this a common issue with either the American Defense mounts or the quickrelease systems or both? Besides unscrewing the screws and shaving off a little bit to make them shorter and thus clamp tighter what else can I do?

Did you already try adjusting the screw for the latch?

      :FROM ADM INSTRUCTIONS:

"To set the tension, move the lever to the open position and push the lever in towards the base. This will make the
adjustment nut protrude on the opposite side of the base. With the nut protruding the nut may be turned to the right or
left to make the necessary adjustment. We recommend tightening one to two flats per time (there are eight flats on the
nut). This may take a few tries to get it where you want it. You will need NO tools for this step although you can use
them if you want it is up to you."
