    zeroing question

i just bought the eotech 3-0 and i want to zero it in. Im out here in Los Angeles county and i was thinking of using a 22lr conversion kit to zero in my new HWS at 25 yards since they dont allow .223 ammo to be shot at this range near my house. Would this work at all? Also right out of the box should i just center the dot with my irons?

I would zero it in with .223/5.56. The ballistics are different than from a 22lr. I have my Eotech sighted in at 25 yards and when I move the target out to 100 yards, I still hit the black area around the bullseye. For now you can boresight it to your ironsights if your ironsights are sighted in. It should get you on paper at least.
