    Mount help please

I ordered a couple of these from American Defense by mistake. My intent was to order a base that I could mount a regular scope to and I put the wrong ones in my e-cart. Anyway, is there any way I can make these work? A riser or something else that would accept regular scope rings?

I can but there may be a 15% restocking fee per the fine print plus my return postage. Just figure that if I can make them work then so much the better.

That's a base for Stanag mounts. It would be cheaper to send it back and get the right one than to get an adapter (if you could find one).

I understand the following that Larue has earned, but seriously, how does this help the OP? It's like posting in General Discussion:

Post: Hey guys, it burns when I pee, what should I do?

Reply: Go Larue, or go home.

Reply: +1 for Larue, I won't own anything else!

              Reply: VIVA LARUE!!!!!!!!

OP, has the company you ordered it from shipped yet? If not, try calling EARLY in the morning to see if you can cancel it prior to shipping. You may end up eating a re-stocking fee perhaps, but it beats re-stocking fee plus return shipping. Explain what happened and see if they will switch your order for the correct product. And honestly, between Larue and American Defense, I think the quality of the mounts is about the same. I actually prefer the locking levers on the ADM mounts over the Larue's.....

You could also try selling them off to someone else on the forum. I think those are the bases people use when they want Aimpoint Micro absolute cowitness mounting on AR15s?

Yeah, they came in on Friday. I sent them a request for return merchandise number over the weekend and I'm waiting to hear back from them. The way I figure it I'm most likely going to order from them the correct mounts which are more expensive. So hopefully they'll cooperate.

The thought occured to me but I don't expect anyone would want pay what I paid for them with shipping and then add shipping on top of it plus gunpal fees.

Oh well, live and learn. Maybe this will be one small mistake that will help me avoid a real expensive one down the road. Like putting the wrong upper in my e-cart.
