New Eotech xps sighting question

I just picked up an eotech xps and was wondering how on target they are from out the box?

I picked up one of those lazer bullets and from about 50 yards away its way off from the lazer. I tried moving the lazer around by taking it out and putting it back in and it still lines up in the exact same spot. plus i dont have iron sights YET!!

So you say its off but you don't say if its off for windage or elevation.

In theory you shoulnd't have to adjust the windage much. However due to height over bore you will need to adjust the elevation.

Ok I'm guessing the windage is the left to right of red dot?

It's below the circle just to the left of center.... Does that make any sense?

If you read the manual, eotechs are zeroed from the factory on a standard carbine rail system at 100 yards. Mine was pretty close to zero but i had to re-zero it once i moved it up farther on my rail.

yea know problem. I moved mine up farther on the rail for better peripheral view and it was kind of a pain in the *** sighting in as well. But anyways have fun
