    Optic Scope Question

Okay, I am looking into buying a Dark Ops Tactical RifleScope 1X4 for my AR-15. The cost is $395 from Opticsplanet.com (http://www.opticsplanet.net/dark-ops...ve-doh323.html). I was wondering if there is something better for about the same price range. Any feedback or comments regarding this or any other scope is really appreciated. Thanks

I dunno. That's a lot of big words in the description, and yet it still doesn't tell you what type of reticle it has, only that it's tri color illuminated in red/green/black. I'd look for a scope that's a little simpler in it's explanation of features and materials. It seems like Dark Ops tries to sell their products simply by listing off all the apparently reverse-engineered-from-alien-technology elements used in their construction. Probably made in China however....

Grafs had the Burris XTR 1-4 on sale for $549.00, Great scope.

Lots of really good 1-4X scopes on the market. The one you listed is not one of them.

Imagine a couple of sales and marketing guys sitting around a table generating techy sounding marketing hype to go with a line of nearly standard Chinese scopes. Yep, that's about all there is to "engineering" at Countersniper. Really, there is no such thing as Bertrillium-Zantitium, and rare-earth materals are not gasses. Their come-on about discounted scopes being "production overruns from a government contract" is pure hogwash. It's all a bunch of hype.

Yeah, you guys are right. I also noticed that there are no reviews for that scope. I'll just keep shopping around.

Great price for this scope. Problem is they were out of stock by the time their flyer came in the mail.

Larue has it for $769 with the QD mount which isnt bad either.

Don't buy DorkOps Countersniper scopes. They're pieces of hunkydory junk.

Cool, thanks you guys. I did not buy the DarkOps sight, but bought instead the Burris AR-332 red dot scope (http://www.opticsplanet.net/burris-a...dot-sight.html). It was rated high from owners in serveral different websites. I Paid $305.00. I'll let you guys know how it turned out.

Great choice, I've used the Burris AR-332, it's a great scope. Much better than DorkOps!
