scope mounts for Ar setup

I was hoping some of the more experienced guys could give me some pointers on which scope rings to use on my AR setup. Can I use any standard scope mounts? I am concerned about the bezel of the scope touching the barrel. Do I need "High" mounts or will standard work? I have noticed scope mounts from $9.99 up to $200. I figure as long as it is aircraft grade aluminum they are all pretty much the same minus the brand name. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!!

You are going to want taller mounts on an AR. The buffer tube is comes strait back on the same plane as the barrel, on a riffle with a stock your cheek weld is lower so short rings work. This is why AR manufactures make there rings taller for a better cheek weld.

Wilson combat makes one at 79.99 that puts the center off the scope 1.5" from the top of the receiver http://www.wilsoncombat.com/r_lo_mount_scope_mount1.asp
Larue makes a really nice M4 mount but is pricey.
