Just bought a UTG (leapers) 3-9x32 mini scope to use on the .22 I pick up this weekend. I figured for a .22 it would be plenty tough, while I have no experience with rifle optics, the general quality of the product was better than I first though, the optics seem pretty clear, especially for the price.
....am I going to be dissapointed when I put them on the gun? I have heard that for the .22 application it was pretty good stuff.... Any input would be appreciated.
Sorry for digging this up from the nap pile.....Comment

Good rule of thumb... be willing to spend about what you paid for the gun... on optics. Sure the $39 3-9x El'Cheapo scope will work for awhile. But why not buy something you'll keep forever and can move from gun to gun? Besides, if you're building a toy then by all means get the cheap optic.
And at least with LR optics... you will never regret buying quality. I have a 30 something year old Leopold scope past down to me from my grandfather that's still a great scope!
Save and buy quality. AND don't be afraid to buy a good used optic from a reputable friend/store.Comment
