Okay. Jeffu has been selling the 4x riflescope that looks like a Trijicon ACOG. He has also been selling the little red dots that go on the top. I finally got a chance to mount one on a 6.5 Grendel upper today and take it shooting. I was excited because many people have been asking on whether they will hold up to an AK 47 and no one has known until now... I didn't have the right mount to mount one on an AK but I do have a 6.5 Grendel with 123 grain bullets. I thought it would be comparable in recoil to the 7.62x39mm.
Mounting: It mounted great. I recommend loctite on all the threads.
Shooting: It held up great to the 6.5G rounds. I didn't see and stress or any warning signs of not holding up for many more rounds to come.
Glass quality: The clarity of the glass is amazing for the price of these things. I do not know if the ticks for the different ranges are correct though. I didn't have enough time to test that at the different ranges. For the price, the glass clarity will be hard to beat.
The biggest surprise to me was that not only did the optic hold up well but so did the red dot. The quality of the red dot really amazed me. It has a rubberized coating on it and self adjusts for lighting. I am actually planning on getting a mount for my AK and just mounting one of these little red dots all by itself. It will save me a lot of money over a Jpoint and works great.
I am sure most of you know that I sell these for Jeffu now so you probably will think my opinion is biased. That is fine because I would think the same thing. All this thread is for is to tell you that MY experience has been very positive with both the optic and the red dot sight. If you guys have any questions, fire away. I am not the best at reviews but I am good at answering questions.
