Mounting the BORS on a Nightforce

I'm mounting my BORS (Barrett blah blah ranging system) on my Nightforce 3.5 - 15x56 MLR/Zerostop optic. I'm not having much luck. The stupid owners manual for the Nightforce compatible optic gives you directions for the Leoupold scope. The take down is not the same and I'm unable to get the BORS mounted correctly. The Barrett forums are busted too so I can't post anything on there to get any answers. Does anyone have any experience taking apart the nightforce and installing the BORS on one? There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there.
