Optics on an AK47??

Hey Everyone,

I will be picking up my custom built PRK AK47 this Wednesday(2/16) and was curious as to what scope/red dot would best suit an AK47. I already purchased a MI AK47 rail so all I need now is a red dot.

On the MI site, they have a rail/red dot combo( Vortex Strikefire ) and I've been reading reviews on the Vortex Strikefire Red Dot, but was curious as to if any of you Calgunners have/own this Red Dot.

I have a strikefire, good quality, holds zero once you get it dialed in you won't need to touch it again. Works well in bright sun. Excellent buy for the $. I got mine used here from a fellow calgunner. I have about 1000 rounds of winchester hollowpoint .223 through my ar with this setup. No Issues whatsoever.

What are you going to be using the gun for? Have you settled on a red dot or are you looking for magnification?
