surefire replacent bulb?

i have a Surefire Millennium M961XM07 which seems to be a nice light..i really do not understand about all the drop in stuff. is there a LED bulb that will replace the incandescent bulb, fit perfect out of the box and allow more run time? thanks to all who reply

That's a 3 battery light, right? Basically a souped-up M3. I don't think Surefire has any LED heads for 3 battery lights.

There are LED lamps for 3 battery lights but in the P60/P90 style. I do not know of any MN series LED replacement lamps. You could possibly take a M series/P60 or 90 style bezel and thread it on to that body... I would think that the threads would match.

I do not care so much for the Surefire P60/90 style LED lamps... In that style I much prefer the Malkoff offerings. http://www.malkoffdevices.com/

I'm not familiar with your light, however Lighthound has a pretty good selection of aftermarket drop in bulbs for surefire flashlights.

There are what's referred to as towers that you can replace your existing bulb with. I see them on candle power forums ocasionally. You can also buy a replacement M head from lighthound (he just sent me an in-stock notice yesterday) or lumensfacory (seraph head), but these are 2.5" turboheads. The only m head led that has the same bezel diameter that you already have (1.42) is a SF KL2 with a whole slew of led's in it (15?), but I don't think it's very bright. I saw a KL2 on eBay just recently. People over at CPF modify this stuff quite a bit. If you could find a KL2 with a P7 or the like in it that would be mooey bright. You might google m head led and see what pops up too. Good luck.

Your post prompted me to start screwing things together, and I came up with a couple other options. A SF LU60 will work but it will take you to a 6v light. You can use your malkoff drop-in in that. Malkoff runs on 6v so that is a thought. I think he sells some kind a ring for a buck that you need to run in a shock isolated bezel like the LU60. There is a LU60 on eBay right now (starting bid $50.00). Also there is a way overpriced KL2 (but you can at least see what it looks like).
