    Nightforce Scopes

    Hi-
I have been thinking about getting a Nightforce Scope don't know which one to get. I want to get a well rounded scope...but not sure which one will be the BEST... I am going to be mainly shooting 100, 200, 500 yard targets out but may want to shoot further. The scope 2 scopes I am looking at are 3.5-15x50 NXS MLR w/.1 mil-radian turrets or the 5.5-22x50 NXS MLR w/.1 mil-radian turrets. Any thought or suggestion would be appreciated.

Both you listed are good scopes. For what you stated as your desired distances for shooting 3-15 would probably be perfect.

I have the 22power, awesome optics, heavy duty scope, I like the positive feel of the knobs and integrated illumination.

I have in on a 338 Lapua Mag rifle and have shot it out to 500+ yards.

However, @ 22power I can really see the target nicely but find myself muzzling the rifle to keep on target because the magnification is so high causing it to be less accurate. Move it down to a lower power and I do much better.

I would still buy another one. And probably will.

for 500 yards you don't need more then 10x, that is the problem with shooting higher magnification scopes is the scope shake, i would say just get a nightforce 2-10x and save the extra 300-400 bucks for ammo.

When you decide which particular NF to buy, give Mike @ CS Tactical a call, he'll take care of you.
