Help choosing first optic for long range rifle.

I just recently purchased an Armalite AR-30 in .300 WM. I'm looking for a scope and just completely confused which to get. My budget is $1,500 or so not including rings or mount. Can you guys give me a few choices of your favorites and why? Much appreciated.

Nightforce or US Optics due to reputation of reliability and durabilty. The glass is very clear. (this is something I am very picky about since I have good glass on my camera)
