eotech 521

I just bought and eotech 521 for my flat top ar-15. I mounted it and noticed that the center of the red dot lined up with the top of my sight when the red dot is in the middle. If i wanted to run my red dot independent of any iron sights, what can i do to raise the eotech?

or do I have to do something else?

It will give you QD Function as well as 1/3 co-witness.
