Scope rings with picatiny rail...

Would it be dumb if I were to get a scope for my stag model 2 carbine and get the picatiny rail ring to mount my eotech on top of the scope for closer range shooting? Lol

No it is not.
ACOG users use red dot doctor optics on top for quick shooting.

Why do you want to do this? 3 gun guys run Jpoints on top of ACOGs. You could also run a dot on a 45 off the rail 3 gun style.
