    looking for green laser recomondations/input

It seems green lasers are much stronger than red. What I'm looking for is a green laser that will work good in direct sunlight, which is where I shoot. i need something good enough that will hold a zero shooting .40S&W.

Is Viridian the best thing going nowadays? Is there something as good or better/brighter than Viridian? Anything as good as Viridian for less money?

    Viridian seems pretty bright.

Is this going on a handgun or rifle? or both? I remember seeing a PEQ-esque looking thing in a magazine a couple months back. But you wouldnt be able to switch between handgun and rifle like you could with Viridian or Lasermax.

      green laser

I have a Viridian and love it. Features are good, great fit and finish. I don't own another but have compared mine to other brands and to red and it IMHO way better and incredibly bright. Mine has held zero since I put it on.The laser light combo is really cool .

Didn't someone here blind themselves with one of these? Anyone know how that is going?

        Edit: found it.

I want to put it on my new Sig p226 which has the intergrated pic rail on the underside of the frame. I'm also trying to find some kind of adjustable rear sight for both elevation and windage. I have the night sights that came with the gun but the rear is only drift adjustable for windage and not adj. for elevation.

edit actually it is adjustable for elevation too but you need to buy whatever height you need to get your shots where you want them. I'd rather just be able to adjust the rears without removing them and using different heights till I get it right.

I had a green lazer for my .223. It was good, but you seriously cant see it at 100 yards like they claim. Most is 50 yards...thats with looking through a scope too. But since its a handgun, close range would work just fine in the day light hours.

I like the Viridian also. I've been wanting to put in on my 5.7, but I'm kind of limited holster-wise. I currently use it on a PS90.

Shows up good on the black shirt. Wonder how it shows up on paper? How far away from the shirts were you?

I was 20ft away. It always shows up bright at the indoor ranges.

Looks pretty damn brite and should work.

Are there any shops in the Bay Area that stock these green lasers with a universal pic. rail fit?

                        Awesome product.

I am a Sig Person myself , so I expect super high reliability and quality. I recently picked up the veridian x5l to keep on my sig P229R, good lord that thing is powerful.
It holds zero in my experience, and many others. It is crazy powerful, and is visible when a Crimson trace is not. Fit and finish is excellent, and so far cust service has been good when I had questions.
Down sides are cost (about 300 for the X5L), no real nice holsters designed to fit it, It eats batt's when using for long shooting sessions, if the lens gets dirty it distorts and dims the laser.
I picked mine up from www.minutemanfirearms.com when I picked up the new LCR w/CT grips..

                          Guys,
Thanks for all the positive feedback. With regards to the holster question, we will have some nice holster options for people with Viridian-equipped handguns shortly. Think high quality kydex compatible with the BLACKHAWK! platform.

Also, Safariland currently makes several models of double and triple retention LE/Military holsters that will work with our new C5 and C5L on popular full size handguns. We'll be posting the Safariland model numbers shortly on our website. Let me know if you guys have anymore questions. Thanks

Andy, I have a Walther P99 with the matching Viridian light/laser combo. Can you tell me if the Safariland Model 6005 holster will work for my P99/viridian? Safarilands website says their model 6005 holster (item #6005-848-121) will fit a P99 "with laser". Does this include your laser/flashlight combo do you know? (See it at http://www.safariland.com/DutyGear/p....aspx?pid=6005)

Thanks for the post Andy. I'd certainly like to see something Kydexy for the FN 5.7 with the X5L, unless you'll have an "upgrade" or trade-in pricing for the C5Ls
