    ALL EOTECH 557 OWNERS

    Hi All Eotech 557 owners,

I just wanted to clarify, I'm trying to purchase a used 557 and I was verifying the serial number with Eotech. The 557 I'm trying to purchase only has 6 digits and Eotech is stating there should be 8 digits and therefore the 557 I'm purchasing is a clone, is this accurate?

Now I know they're the manufacturer and I should beleive what they say, but then again, couldn't a certain individual be wrong??

The 557 I'm purchasing has all the paperwork, manuals and even the case. Are the clones really now this accurate of a copy to the real deal?

    Any input will help!!

    Thank you.

Hmm.. I didn't know that and don't have my 557 any longer to help you verify. Was this Mike Kroll with EOTech customer service? He usually knows his stuff.

Well Mike Kroll is in Las Vegas this week for the Shoot show, so I had other customer service people covering him pull it up and that's what they are telling me.

I'm looking at the underside of my 557, there is a 6 digit s/n starting 38xxxx

^^ thats me selling the eotech on craigslist!! lol!!

i texted you earlier about finding a thread about the 557 with people stating their 6 digit serial numbers...

Anyway, im going to call eotech next week and get to the bottom of this.

My guess is this may be one of the "older" units that was produced before the 8 digit SN's were instituted.

*funny enough, i was just about to post a thread about this SN debacle*
