picatinny & weaver mount???

acquired a new tactical rifle w/picatinny rail & then purchased an affordable red dot tasco bkrd3022 just to get something working cause i want to get it out this weekend & think i'll enjoy it moreso if i can actually use something instead of just guestimating '
tasco doesn't seem to be capable of getting wide enough

i've always been a handgun guy so i have no experience w/rifes , scopes & which will fit what

willing to spend up to 100$ but would prefer to keep cost closer to 65$

also what to avoid @ all costs

& if you have something for sale that will fit
will take it into consideration

Do you mean the opening on the mount for the red dot to fit on the rail?
